Wednesdays prompt is "wonder/waystation". @acepodcastweek

I focused on the "way station" part. I guess it makes me think of liminal spaces? And the most liminal thing of all in our podcast is the Delphire, the mysterious force or entity Delphi serves.

Hypothetically speaking, what do you think would have happened if The death eaters found out what Lucius did with the Diary sooner? Like would Pansy be Draco’s only friend in school throughout Prisoner of Azkaban-Order of the Phoenix?

I guess the first thing to consider would be 1) did anyone know Lucius had the Diary and 2) did anyone know what the Diary did?

And in both instances... I'm going to have to say no. I think Voldemort probably gave the Cup to the Lestranges, and the Diary to the Malfoys, and told both of them "you are my most trusted lieutenant. you must keep this safe for me." I don't think he told either of them he was handing over part of his soul.

(if he did bellatrix would have had tried to have sex with that cup)

Also... Lucius doesn't really seem to know what the Diary does? Because Dobby (who presumably is repeating whatever he heard at home) thinks that Harry specifically is going to be in danger, and I really have no idea why? Like he's not a muggleborn. He's not a squib. Lucius definitely thinks the diary is going to do something, but I would not be surprised if he was under the impression that it would "destroy the Dark Lord's enemies" or whatever, and he's hoping it gets Dumbledore in its crosshairs.

But okay, assume that after Book 2 it did somehow come out that Lucius had burned an artifact that Voldemort specifically told him to keep safe, in an unsuccessful attempt to one-up Arthur Weasley. Like maybe Dobby blabbed.

Luckily for Lucius, most of the really intense true believers who would just outright murder him for doing that (Barty, Bellatrix) are still imprisoned. Unclear what the status of Greyback and and Carrows is, but they're wildcards and might potentially be an issue.

BUT I were him... I would be worried about the smarter, more careful Death Eaters (Theodore Nott's father) and the more ministry-aligned Death Eaters (Macnair)... because they're probably going to interpret this as Lucius' public declaration that he's not loyal to Voldemort anymore - he doesn't think he's coming back. Lucius' best move would be to lean into this, spend two years getting the remaining death eaters on his side, and then when they're all summoned in the graveyard... they just ides-of-march Voldemort. Like I do not think that Lucius really wants Voldemort back. He's living his best life Books 2-4, and he's not looking for him.

But of course, this is bad news for Lucius when Voldemort actually DOES come back. Nott Senior might try to hold this piece of dirt over his head, ask him for money or favors. (He's also probably telling Theo to keep his distance from Draco... because if Voldemort ever decides he wants to use Lucius as a punching bag, it's only a matter of time before Draco gets sucked into it too.) Realistically though, I think the news comes out. Macnair is a little bit too much of a loose canon, and Crabbe and Goyle are probably a little too easy to trick.

So we probably get Lucius' plot from Book 6 moved to Book 5 - he's alive, but very much Voldemort's chew toy. Draco might get his Mark and his mission even earlier (a "prove yourself to make up for your father's mistakes" sort of thing.) However, he wouldn't be able to do the Vanishing Cabinet plan early, because he only comes up with that idea after Fred and George push Montague in the course of Inquisitorial Squad shenanigans. If he ever goes up against Dumbledore in any capacity, it won't be a weakened Dumbledore (so probably no draco-master-of-the-elder-wand) and Draco will be even younger and more hopeless... so he's probably taking Dumbledore's deal to betray Voldemort under the condition that Dumbledore protect his parents. In which case we probably get double-agent Draco doing the Snape thing... potentially very interesting.

The other thing is that Lucius won't be in charge of the Battle of the Department of Mysteries. I honestly don't think that will change much. It might happen earlier, since Bellatrix is more hot-headed and won't want to mess around trying to imperius Unspeakables... but luring Harry there with the image of Sirius being tortured was her idea. And, I don't see her controlling the situation today any better than Lucius did. Since she would be taking sole blame for the failure... this is probably a universe where Bellatrix becomes even more desperate to please Voldemort, and even more unpredictable. Which could lead to a more explosive Bellatrix vs Snape conflict... there's a lot of things that could happen.

Delphi MASH: Beware, the medics bite

I got this idea for a Transformers fic loosely based on the MASH tv show. The story focuses on a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH), Delphi, and the shenanigans of the medics and guards. And then an other idea got me. What if there was copious amount of porn in it. So, the idea was born. I don’t know where I can get to it, but I sketched out the base ideas for the characters and I thought I'd share them. After I'm done with my archival exam, I will get to it.

Anyway, character concepts under the cut. I promise it will get weird.

alice (asteroid 291)

Alice is the main character of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. She is a young girl from a rich Victorian English family, who finds herself accidentally or perhaps on purpose in Wonderland. It is Alice's curiosity and wish to understand the world around her no matter how complex or confusing it is. Her manners remain true despite Wonderland's lackluster etiquette (or lack thereof); though it is her manners that Wonderland seems to target as it aims to teach her individuality and how to speak up for what she believes and wants most. Wonderland forces Alice to question everything she knows about the world and even herself. IN MY OPINION Alice in your chart can represent a) where you experience curiosity, b) where you experience a lot of self growth, c) where you tend to be very naive and are forced to mature, and/or d) where you are most resilient.

bandersnatch (asteroid 9780)

The Bandersnatch is one of the most frightening creatures from Lewis Carroll’s works. It is described as an unpredictable and a fast-moving beast. The Bandersnatch is aggressive and difficult to escape from. IN MY OPINION Bandersnatch in your chart can represent a) what scares you, b) something that is bound to be unpredictable and slightly threatening to you, and/or c) what can be considered a predator in your realm of existence.

collins (asteroid 6471)

Michael Collins was an American astronaut best known for his role in the Apollo 11 mission, the first spaceflight to land humans on the moon. As the command module pilot, Collins orbited the moon in the spacecraft while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon's surface. Though he didn't set foot on the moon, Collins played an important role in ensuring the mission’s success by maintaining the spacecraft, performing system checks, and being the lifeline for his crewmates’ safe return. He often reflected on the experience of being “the loneliest person in the universe” while orbiting the moon alone... IN MY OPINION Collins in your chart can represent a) where you might be part of a team yet you feel left out, b) having others rely on you to do your part, and/or c) where you feel completely alone/isolated.

Dr. Deidre Ann Hunter is an astronomer renowned for her research on irregular galaxies; mainly focusing on their origins, evolution, and star-formation properties. IN MY OPINION Deidre in your chart can represent a) an interest in the formation of stars, b) having an understanding of evolution, and/or c) your scientific education. This asteroid was asked for by @danihodgs.

delphi (asteroid 73769)

Delphi was a major religious site in ancient Greece, dedicated to the god Apollo and known for housing the Oracle of Delphi. The oracle, where priestesses delivered prophecies believed to be inspired by Apollo, was highly influential in personal and political decisions. IN MY OPINION Delphi in your chart can represent a) your connection to religious meccas, b) where you feel closest to religion, and/or c) where you can influence others with your wisdom.

ekaterina (asteroid 6955)

Catherine the Great was a Russian empress who reigned from 1762 until her death. Originally from Germany, she married Emperor Peter III of Russia, but after he was overthrown, she became empress and expanded Russia’s borders significantly. Known for her intelligence, political savvy, and reforms, Catherine modernized Russian society, promoting the arts, education, and Western European ideas. She also strengthened Russia’s military and led successful wars that extended Russian territory. Catherine’s reign is often seen as a golden age of the Russian Empire (the golden age spans beyond Catherine as well; as many great Russian works like Tales of Belkin and War and Peace come of out of this era). IN MY OPINION Ekaterina in your chart can represent a) where you are progressive, b) where you can expand the views of others to dream and act upon those dreams, and/or c) where you are savvy/intelligent.

empedocles (asteroid 6152)

Empedocles was an ancient philosopher known for his contributions to early cosmology and the theory of the four elements. He proposed that all objects are made of four elements: earth, air, fire, and water, which combine and separate through the force. These elements and forces were central to his worldview and influenced many people. IN MY OPINION Empedocles in your chart can represent a) what you are made of, b) what drives you to create, and/or c) where you experience constant change.

fantasia (asteroid 1224)

Fantasy is a genre typically featuring magical or sometimes supernatural elements that are not rooted in universal reality. It often takes place in imaginary worlds or alternate realities where extraordinary events, creatures, and powers exist. Often adventure, quests, and heroism are present in this genre, as well as the exploration of the theme good versus evil... IN MY OPINION Fantasia in your chart can represent a) your enjoyment or dislike of the genre, b) what in your world is not rooted in reality, c) what type of fantasies enchant you, and/or d) where you are likely to experience the struggle between good and evil.

freud (asteroid 4342)

Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis, which revolutionized therapeutic practices. His work greatly influenced psychology, psychiatry, literature, and culture as a whole. He had theories regarding the unconscious mind, the three divisions of the psyche, psychosexual development, the Oedipus Complex, dream analysis, and much much more. IN MY OPINION Freud in your chart can represent a) your connection with psychology, b) what part of your psyche lords over you, c) why and what brings you pleasure and strife, and/or d) what your dreams are trying to tell you (using horary astrology immediately after waking up).

frieden (asteroid 3642)

Frieden is the German word for peace. It refers to a state of harmony, the absence of war or conflict, and overall tranquility, both in the societal and personal sense. IN MY OPINION Frieden in your chart can represent a) where you have harmony, b) what can make feel most tranquil, and c) the chances that your life will be touched by war or conflict-free.

hesiodos (asteroid 8550)

Hesiod was an ancient Greek poet, and is often considered one of the earliest literary influences of our world today. His works provide insights into Greek mythology, cosmology, and daily life during that era. IN MY OPINION Hesiodos in your chart can represent a) what you speak about and write down, b) whether you believe in ancient Greek cosmology, and/or c) how you may blend you beliefs with everyday life.

homerus (asteroid 5700)

Homer is a legendary ancient Greek poet credited with having written two of the most important epic poems of Western literature, The Iliad and The Odyssey. His works are considered foundational to Greek culture. They helped to shape later literature, philosophy, and storytelling. IN MY OPINION Homerus in your chart can represent a) your love for classics / epic poetry, b) what you believe to be heroic, and/or c) what can inspire your writing.

jabberwock (asteroid 7470)

The Jabberwock is a mythical creature from Lewis Carroll’s poem "Jabberwocky", which is a part of the collection Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There. It is depicted as a dangerous, dragon-like monster that is ultimately slain by the poem’s young masculine hero (not Alice like those of you who saw that one movie might believe). IN MY OPINION Jabberwock in your chart can represent a) fears/obstacles you must overcome, b) something that is anxiety inducing, and/or c) what causes chaos and destruction in your life.

jubjubbird (asteroid 9781)

The Jubjub Bird is a mysterious yet dangerous creature from Lewis Carroll’s literary universe, appearing in a couple of his works. While not as famous as the Jabberwock, it is equally unsettling. It's described as “frumious” (furious + fuming) in "Jabberwocky", suggesting it is both aggressive and temperamental. One character warns that when encountering a Jubjub Bird one requires extreme politeness and compliments, or else one risks being torn to shreds (sounds a bit familiar? I'm looking at you, Rowling, and Harry Potter's encounter with the hippogriff). It appears to be similar to a raven or a tropical bird (lol yes I do imagine Kevin from Up) with violent tendencies... IN MY OPINION Jubjubbird in your chart can represent a) where aggression can be found in your life, b) uncertain encounters, and/or c) where you might subconsciously be overly formal.

kaali (asteroid 4227)

The Kaali Crater is a group of nine meteorite impact craters that are surrounded by ancient myths. Some scholars believe the crater was a sacred site for Sun worship. The Kaali lake that formed in one of the craters may have been seen as a representation of the Sun, and thus considered a revered celestial bodies. Finnish epics describe a fiery ball falling from the sky, breaking into pieces, and causing destruction, which closely resembles the Kaali impact event. Others speculate that the Norse Ragnarok myth may have been influenced by real meteorite events like Kaali. IN MY OPINION Kaali in your chart can represent a) what you consider sacred, b) how your reality is shaped by belief, and/or c) what you feel is worthy of worship. lewiscarrol (asteroid 6984)

Lewis Carroll - who's name was actually Charles Lutwidge Dodgson - was an English writer, mathematician, and logician. He is best known for his iconic works in the genre of nonsense literature: Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, etc. These works help to redefine children literature - it doesn't have to just be imaginative, it could also be thought provoking. IN MY OPINION Lewiscarrol in your chart can represent a) how imaginative and intellectual you are, b) how whimsical your dissociations can get, and/or c) where you can inspire others to transform who they are.

marchare (asteroid 6736)

The March Hare is a character in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. He appears at the Mad Tea Party alongside the Mad Hatter and the Dormouse, where they engage in nonsensical conversation and absurd behavior. He himself is jittery and unpredictable, often speaking or acting in sudden outbursts. He frequently interrupts and dismisses Alice, which reflects Wonderland’s lack of conventional manners which Alice has. His often pointless conversations and refusal to follow logic are meant to be satire of Victorian society’s rigid thinking and meaningless social rituals. IN MY OPINION Marchare in your chart can represent a) where you tend to find people who match your energy, b) why you can be very jittery/unpredictable, c) where you tend to be very rigid in your thinking, and/or d) where you are possibly unnecessarily following meaningless societal norms.

mockturtle (asteroid 8889)

The Mock Turtle is another character in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. He is described as a depressive creature who constantly reminisces about his past and weeps for no understandable reason. I believe Carroll is mocking (excuse my pun) the Victorian tendency to be overly sentimental. His nonsensical school lessons and confusing recollection of them show that memories are often distorted or exaggerated over time (your memory is not a recorder). IN MY OPINION Mockturtle in your chart can represent a) where you tend to be reminiscent for no real reason at all, b) where your memory can fail you, and/or c) how your personal stories can be unreliable.

neverland (asteroid 5405)

Neverland is the mythical island from Peter Pan. It is the home of Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, Tinker Bell, Captain Hook, etc. Neverland is a place where children never grow up, time doesn't flow, and adventure never ends. IN MY OPINION Neverland in your chart can represent a) how and where you never grow old, b) where you have very little or no responsibilities, c) where you might feel stuck or stunted, and/or d) what dangers immaturity holds.

ophelia (asteroid 171)

Ophelia is a tragic character in Shakespeare’s Hamlet. She is the daughter of Polonius, sister of Laertes, and Hamlet’s love interest. Ophelia is known for her innocence, obedience, and her eventual descent into madness, making her one of literature’s most tragic characters. She gets caught between her love for Hamlet and her family’s warnings about him. Hamlet’s behavior and cruelty end up shattering her trust... She ends up loses her identity, torn between Hamlet’s rejection and her father’s need for control. When Polonius is killed by Hamlet, Ophelia ends up losing her grip on reality and singing songs about love and death. She then drowns in the river, in what is often interpreted as suicide or a tragic accident. IN MY OPINION Ophelia in your chart can represent a) where your purity gets corrupted, b) where your fate feels controlled by men, c) where there is a chance you will be overwhelmed by your grief, and/or d) where you could snap and lose yourself.

redqueen (asteroid 17518)

The Red Queen is a character from Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking-Glass (1871), and she is not the same as the Queen of Hearts, though they are often confused. Unlike the quick-to-anger Queen of Hearts, the Red Queen is calm, strict, and highly intelligent. She serves as a guide to Alice, by teaching her the rules of the chessboard of the Looking-Glass Land. IN MY OPINION Redqueen in your chart can represent a) where you have a lot of order and strategy, b) your dislike for chaos and over emotionality, and/or c) where you tend to think ahead.

tweedledee (asteroid 9387)

Tweedledee and Tweedledum are portrayed as nearly identical in appearance, speech, and behavior. Lewis Carroll does not give them distinct personalities, and they mostly function as a unit, finishing each other’s thoughts and acting in unison. However, there are some subtle differences that emerge over time. Tweedledee is sometimes portrayed as the slightly kinder or calmer of the two. Tweedledee is often ever so slightly more excitable. Tweedledee is a little more cautious than Tweedledum too. IN MY OPINION Tweedledee in your chart can represent a) where you might struggle for individuality, b) where your kindness is seen in comparison to others, and/or c) where being cautious pays with excitement.

tweedledum (asteroid 17681)

Tweedledee's twin, Tweedledum, is slightly more aggressive as he is the one who typically declares they must battle... Though they never actually fight because they get distracted. Tweedledum seems a little more stubborn or argumentative. This often makes Tweedledum more reckless and impulsive. IN MY OPINION Tweedledum in your chart can represent a) where you might struggle for individuality, b) where your aggression and argumentativeness overshadows other's, and/or c) where being impulsive presents you with new opportunities.

utopia (asteroid 1282)

A utopia is an ideal or seemingly perfect society where everything functions harmoniously - there is no suffering, injustice, or conflict. While utopia represents hope for a better world, it also highlights the impossibility of achieving true perfection (perfection also looks different to so many people). IN MY OPINION Utopia in your chart can represent a) where everything seems perfect in your life, b) where life gets better, and/or c) what utopia means to you.

whiterabbit (asteroid 17942)

The White Rabbit is a key character in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. He is the first wondrous character Alice encounters - his frantic appearance sets the entire story into motion. Alice, being curious, chases after him and slides down the rabbit hole - landing her in Wonderland. Though anxious, he follows orders, reflecting Victorian concerns about duty, class, and obedience. IN MY OPINION Whiterabbit in your chart can represent a) anxiety energy in your life, b) where you are constantly stressed about time, and/or c) where you catch the attention of many people (got to remember the white rabbit is also the Queen of Heart's herald). This asteroid was asked for by @faris-al-aryan.

Apollo & Dionysus [Part 1]

MAN. not sure if i know what i'm doing, they're very complicated and this won't be my only essay about them. But I've been delaying this essay for way too long, to a point in which I was close to crying about it.

Hope you enjoy, in any case, how i give you all the connections, both good and bad, of my favourite god figures from the Greek Folklore.

1. Karneia [Καρνεῖα].

One of Dionysus' main characteristics is how he's depicted with horns. It's part of his identity as a god, it's horns what (according to the Orphic hymns) made him look like Persephone's son. you can't take away his horns and pretend he's still Dionysus. Euripides knew that well.

Apollo, on the other hand, not many are aware that he sometimes was represented with horns, as well ! This festival, held mainly in Sparta, was to honor Apollo (and a couple of other gods but, he was the star of the show).

The reasons for why this festival was held vary; like Pausanias saying it was to calm him down so he wouldn't send a plague.

But, you see, the main reason this festival is mentioned here: the Spartans would stop any military activity to honor a horned Apollo, he resembled Dionysus during that time. And not only that, but he also was related with vines during it, and that's Dionysus sacred plant. Just like the laurel (or bay, i think it's called in English) is the sacred tree of Apollo.

Seeing Apollo with that plant, and harvesting grapes while having horns, has a strong conection to what Dionysus is.

2. Delphi's Oracle.

It's still Apollo's Oracle, wether Dionysus kept it while he was gone at Hyperborea or not. He killed Python, Gaia's big-ass snake, in order to get it.

But.

While Apollo had to leave during the winter time to go to Hyperborea, it was Dionysus OF ALL GODS the one who kept Delphi, and thus, his festivals were celebrated there.

On one side of the main temple, you could see Apollo with his twin sister, Artemis, and his mother, Leto.

And on the other side, it was Dionysus.

Dionysus wasn't related to prophecies, at all. Maenads did shenanigans during the time Apollo wasn't there.

But it's, you know... Interesting, that Apollo's most important oracle was kept by Dionysus during the time that he wasn't there.

With this, you should think "then, they're in good terms, right?" Yeah, well, they're supposed to be, there's nothing stating that they have a bad relationship, it's the other way around, actually !

But the next point... Is gonna leave us all confused.

3. Orpheus.

Or, as i like to call it:

And my favourite part of this essay, gotta say !

Orpheus brought many cults to the Greeks, according to Pausanias. Like the Eleusinian Demeter one, for example. And not to forget, Orphism gets his name from him, as well as the Orphic Hymns, obviously.

But, apparently, besides doing all that, at the end of his life, he claimed to not care about any gods, not even Dionysus, the main figure of Orphism, that weren't Apollo.

And his death was explained in a lost play of Aeschylus, one that two different writers describe; Eratosthenes and Pausanias, so pick your favourite:

P: 1. the maeneads saw Orpheus refusing to worship Dionysus, and killed him.

E: 2. Or, the interesting one: Dionysus saw that Orpheus devoted himself to Apollo and Apollo only, and got... Jealous. Jealous of his devotion to Apollo.

He was the one who started Orphism, the one who wrote many hymns for him. Seeing him being devoted to someone else than him apparently wasn't a good move. In this version he sent the maeneads to kill him, they didn't go for their own will, which makes it more peculiar.

I'm not writting down Ovid's version because it doesn't fucking count.

Plato also says some odd thingy, that "the gods imposed on Orpheus the punishment of dying at the hands of women for not having had the courage to die for love like Alcestis, daughter of Pelias, who had died in the place of her husband Admetus." ... Which, yeah, sure, I guess, whatever you say, buddy. We have to keep in mind Plato's texts are more related to philosophy than anything.

People always say it's Apollo the one who was envious of Dionysus' talents and parties, (for... some reason i guess) specially knowing how he had two of his muses related to him (tragedy and comedy) due to Dionysus being, after all, the god of theatre.

But, surprise ! It was the other way around. Dionysus was jealous of Orpheus' devotion to Apollo. "If you won't devote yourself to me, you won't devote yourself to anyone".

And, well, either because the sources didn't survive or because he wasn't considered his son in these versions, Apollo didn't do anything. In fact, we never see him doing anything towards Dionysus.

So, what now, Nysus? What was their relationship exactly, after all of this?

It's... Complicated !! Okay !!! This needs more research from my part, plus we all should keep in mind that, while all the authors mentioned here were Greek, they were different guys. You always need to keep in mind the place, person, era... All of that, before starting to judge how a dynamic between two gods work.

"How did it ever come to this?"

He told himself. Feeling his vocal processors lock up and he chokes on his own feelings. Gritting his denta until he knows it'll bend. Lubricant welling up in his optics as he trembles in his berth. The only comfort is the blanket that you arm knitted for him. A red and white fluffy yarn, laced with blue, with his red cross embroidered along the corners.

He misses you so much. Desperately searching for the solace of your comfort. Long has the stupidity of your behaviors left his processors. Now replaced with completely obsessive thoughts of longing for you. It hurts. It's eating him alive, a pain worse than a million scraplets jumping on him. He's a medic yet doesn't know what to do.

He would brush it off as usual if he could, but now it's no longer possible. As if his hardlines have been rewired with nothing but data of you. You've somehow crawled into his motherboard and replaced every component with nothing but pieces labeled with you. Hard drive, memory, even his audials. He thinks, feels, hears you.

With what sanity he has left he throws a fist at the wall, denting the metal wall of the clinic.

Hearing your stupid chirps, your ridiculously lovely voice, how you're always making stupid poses to cheer everyone up.

How you told him it's okay to be tired, to want to give up, and that it's acceptable to just throw it away and be done. He never even allowed himself to entertain the thought of giving up. Only always pushing forward to continue in his suffering a guilt ridden lifestyle to maintain Delphi. Every cog he harvested for Tarn was a reminder that he's an absolute terrible bot.

Overtime, those thoughts have left him, and procedures became of second nature to him. Just another day on the job. Another job to be done so him and Delphi can continue to survive.

That one evening in the blizzard of Messatine, he was dusting off his servos of his remorse as he strolled out the front doors. Almost missing you at first, until he saw a cloud of smoke wafting over his way. A human. Crouched and leaning by the wall of the facility as you puff on your cigarette, lazily drawing nothings in the snow.

When you come to notice him, you hitched a breath and choked on your drag, falling on your ass into the snow. You're used to the bots, being part of the crew on the Lost Light and accustomed to their shenanigans. What you didn't expect was for them to forget about you after pit stopping on Messatine. Now you're faced with a glaringly intimidating seeker.

Originally Pharma wanted nothing to do with you. Toss you out into the cold and let you freeze. Yet your snarkiness and quick thinking won out in the end. You read him like an open book. He always thought he was a complex character, but perceived simple by others. Yet within cycles you've found all his weakness. His need to control, his desperate attempts to hold himself together because he has no choice. Long gone was the smirk on his faceplate, only to be replaced with vulnerability and an unexplainable rage.

Unable to throw you out as you would be a liability if any information of his personality and actions make it out, he begrudgingly kept you. Merely as a pet at first. It wasn't until Ambulon came back freezing from the cold that you spent nights arm knitting bot sized blankets for everyone. The Lost Light might have been warm, but not Messatine. Individually tailored to the 3 medics residing in Delphi, Pharma had no use for such things. Tossing it on the edge of his berth to be forgotten. Little did he know how it would have been his only connection to you.

"It's okay to give up you know. To want death, to want everything to end." You chirped up in your usual cheery voice, although with a tinge of emotion.

Was it from personal experience?

Spending all his time saving lives, and killing them, yet wishing for escape for himself. This caught him off-guard.

"I'm not condoning it, and I will miss you if you do, but I'm here to validate your feelings. You're struggling and no one has told you that you're allowed to. So I will." You tell him as you rock back and forth on your feet, arms held together in the back.

Pharma didn't know how much these words would have affected him. Now, with you gone, he wretchedly clung onto that memory. Replaying it over and over, until that's the only thing in his processor. First Aid and Ambulon noticed too, watching him fall into despair clutching onto the knitted blanket that they too, each have. A lingering parting gift from you.

A/N: there's no happy ending for him, he suffers dying with transformation rust or dies ripping out his own spark ig. I wish him the best. Perhaps reader will come back... hold on strong Pharma..

This week, on CHC:

Flowers, trees, and dragons, Oh My!

Welcome to the CHC recap, my name is Pixlriffs, our writer is ZloyXP, our physical copies printed by Lyarrah. So much has happened in the past week and a half since the last recap, so without further ado:

Let's take a look at all the events and mishaps that occurred on Camp Hermitcraft, this week!

Starting with @gem-the-oracle, who caught a nasty bug, and spent most of the week ill in the Big House. Being the Oracle of Delphi of course, absolutely nothing could go wrong! Besides, it couldn't be weirder than her vision of purple flowers that were quickly identified as Hyacinths, the same kind of flower plaguing every Apollo kid and especially Apollo himself! This spirals into madness as @sungod7-fuckyoupearl starts getting texts from none other than Daphne, known to her account name @notoriginallyatreenypmh and the sun god as "The One Who Got Away". Apollo quickly undergoes the five stages of grief as he realizes this isn't a prank and @boatboynr1- who was turned into a cat by Apollo literally ten minutes prior- berates him with yowls.

Oh, and Apollo's dead boyfriend Hyacinthus seems to have been the one sending all the flowers. How @hyancithus is doing this beats all reason as he is stuck as a Hyacinth flower and can only communicate in 🪻 emojis. Daphne claims he's able to channel energy through her and the phone she stole but refuses to elaborate further. After a minor breakdown, Apollo teleports Daphne and Hya from their temporary prison of Italy to Camp Hermitcraft, where Daphne takes her axe- also stolen- and takes a breather in the camp lake. Apollo's hands are full as he does his best to take care of his dead boyfriend, whom is still stuck as a flower. A similar rescue mission is still ongoing, as @askhermesgrian, @camphermithater, and Joel have left on a quest to go retrieve @pearl-likes-hunting from some myserious woods. All at the request of @shutupapolloplease, of course.

And what do you know, a third retrieval is also ongoing! @hatotangoftek's metal dragon, Fotia, is loose in NYC and he scrambles to get her back before he ends up in more trouble than he already is.

@undead-daughter-of-heb attempts to help Tango, but not before blacking out and waking up hours later, with the Hebe cabin rearranged, nice notes everywhere, and people claiming that Gem had briefly possessed her. The strangeness doesn't end there, as she finds and almost adopts a stray cat in camp, before eventually realizing it was @askxisumachc who'd gotten cursed while shifted and couldn't change back. Cleo takes X to Camp Jupiter, where @lovemushroomsandflowers successfully returns him to human form. Ignoring the purring, cat tail, and cat ears that stayed behind, of course. And according to Scott, Xisuma also seems to have retained cat-like attributes, such as the innate need to chase a laser pointer.

(click for better size- couldn't enlarge it w/o crunchiness) Unluckily for Scott, or maybe luckily for X, @goldenqueenfalse ended up putting him in the hospital before he could test catnip on the acting camp director. This does mean that the fashion show, which most demigods have agreed to simply call "Prom", will be delayed some time, which is fine as some campers have yet to pick out outfits.

Some campers may need to re-choose outfits after ending up back as adults, as Cleo has figured out how to control her powers! Yay for Cleo!

Chaos isn't the only thing going on, as @asktheshreeper and @boatboynr2 spend the week hanging out and even make some shopping plans!

@askscarpjo makes head bead bracelets :)

@hatorendiggitydog also wants head bead bracelets. He then proceeds to dream about Tartarus and acts like thats normal. Etho is not convinced.

@askhatoskizz is not immune to his dad's dead boyfriend and after receiving Hyacinths, decides to do something else. He decides to take @erempulse to a musical and manages to get tickets from Apollo before the whole shrubbery shenanigans (see: above) go down.

@spoonsandmustaches spends his free time playing tech support for @hato-grumbot (ooc- run by the creator of the au himself: @ahllohehn).

@askhatokeralis spends the week running camp in Xisuma's absence. He's doing fantastic.

And finally there's @askluckskall, who's been contemplating his gender identity and is seeking help from Cleo. As of writing this, we have yet to see where this is headed.

Pre-war

-Megatron is born as D-16

-Soundwave is born and some time later, taken in by his future cassettes

-Starscream meets Thundercracker and Skywarp

-Megatron leaves the mines and attempts to build a name for himself in the gladiatorial pits

-Megatron meets Soundwave

-The Decepticon movement begins

-Starscream goes to Kaon and meets Megatron

-Shockwave goes to Kaon

-Shockwave appeals to Megatron and joins the Decepticons 

-Megatron meets Orion Pax

-vaguely planned senate stuff and then divorce arc

War

-Soundblaster is born (Kaon) as Megatron tries to develop an army of disposable soldiers

-Rodimus is born (Nyon)

-Bumblebee (last spark of Cybertron) is born (Rivets Field), leading to a realization of how bad the war has gotten

-Soundblaster runs away

-Back and forth with Bumblebee attempting to use him as a political pawn (sound familiar?)

-some time later, race to find the Allspark

-Battle for the Allspark at Polyhex, Victory is born

-Back and forth with Victory attempting to use them as a political pawn

-Victory steals a ship and runs away

-Victory wanders through space, meets Scourge & Lockdown & Soundblaster (stays with SB the longest)

-The Ark and the Nemesis leave a dying/dead Cybertron, but a quantum jump error blows up both their ships and leaves the stasis pods to crash on Cybertron

-More wanderings alone through space

-Victory meets Tarn and the DJD

-Start of Vos/Victory romance

-Tarn meets Pharma, starts their messatine/delphi deal

-Victory grows up w the DJD, learns to fight, goes with them on some high profile missions (like Overlord)

-Tarmac is born (Messatine/Delphi)

Earth era

-On earth, the decepticons and autobots awaken from stasis and resume their war

-Victory's sources inform them that their parents are on earth (everyone they hate perfectly in one place) and they and the djd head over

-the autobots and decepticons quickly come to meet victory and know of them and their team's brutality and an alliance is formed

-there is a whole show's worth of back and forth and shenanigans, some funny, some decidedly less so

-everything culminates in a final battle in which tarn dies

One ending diverges from here: victory is killed in the crossfires of battle, and their ghost follows megatron, who goes aboard the lost light and optimus, who leaves by himself after giving the matrix to rodimus

-the war ends through autobot and decepticon collaboration, the ark and the nemesis are repaired and cobbled together into one working ship - the arch nemesis. see what i did there?

-victory and the djd are stuck in the ship's brig

-a trial is planned by military tribunal aboard the ship itself so that business will be sorted out by the time they arrive on Cybertron

-high command and megatron wants a very harsh punishment while optimus is much more lenient. he visits victory to offer them a second chance that he will use his influence to grant them

-One ending diverges from here: If Victory accepts his offer, they bide their time and manipulate Optimus to get him to trust them, before breaking the DJD out of prison, killing Megatron, and leaving

-A second ending diverges from here: If Optimus and Megatron give in to high command and have the DJD executed, Victory will never forgive them, ever, escapes prison, steals a ship, and plots their revenge.

-the tribunal decides on more or less life time imprisonment

On Cybertron

-after all the formalities are over, the treaties are signed, victory and the djd are locked up where no one will find them. optimus realizes that he has no place in a post war world and has no idea who he is without the war

-megatron, in a fit of rage for everything the decepticons have become, orders the peaceful tyranny smelted/torn apart for scrap metal along with all of vicky and the djd's things aboard

-optimus gives the matrix to rodimus so he can be the next matrix bearer and when the matrix deems him ready, the next prime. however, something happens to the matrix and it cracks open to reveal the map to the knights of cybertron.

-rodimus, who is feeling so much uncertainty over victory (sibling figure)'s actions and the war and everything, decides that he is going to leave and go on an adventure to find the knights instead. he assembles anyone who wants to leave and have a new life out in space. the crew is more or less og idw mtmte crew

-bumblebee is appointed by optimus to stay here on cybertron and get everything in order, RID idw style

-meanwhile, optimus leaves, content with having his things sorted out, and ready to have a new life

-megatron most likely stays on cybertron

-bumblebee has to deal with annoying people like prowl and starscream but none of them have genuinely malicious intentions, its just a lot of bonding, paperwork, and eventually... starbee?? anyways they do still meet the bots from caminus, bee and windblade become amicas eventually

-rodimus meets thunderclash in space and has a romance w him too (eventually). the lost light still meets their fair share of problems (non-djd), such as tyrest and his kill switch, but there is a fair amount of fun too

-but victory and their team will not be contained. unsurprisingly, they bust their way out of prison

Post-prison break

-in AUs where victory finds themself without the djd, this is when they meet @voids-call's OC stinger (non-canon)

-victory steals a ship, names it the Peaceful Tyranny II

-they get a full reformat to look like tarn, mask and all

Two ending and 2 AUs diverge from this point: The events of the DJD ending will be recounted below, since it is the primary ending I make content for. In the good ending, Victory goes to Earth, has some adventures, and reconciles with their family.

In the Earthspark AU they arrive on Earth in time for Earthspark and this follows the events of the actual show extremely close. This is when Victory meets @too-many-hyperfixations's OC sonarsong (non-canon).

In the DJD Earthspark AU, canon is still closely followed, except for the fact that Victory comes in with the DJD guns blazing ready to get their revenge and try a second time, as well as to lead the decepticons.

-In the good ending and ES AUs, megatron and optimus are on earth. otherwise, optimus is wandering around alone and megatron is on cybertron.

-at this point, pharma has realized that tarn is most likely dead and never returning (news travels fast!) and he just straight up packs it up and leaves, abandoning tarmac and the rest of delphi

-tarmac leaves as well, through accident or by choice, and wanders through space scared alone until meeting soundblaster

-tarmac learns about tarn and his death and asks soundblaster to take her to victory

-victory goes aboard the lost light with the djd, fucks shit up a bit, and kidnaps/steals @mistermalaprop's oc vagabond. (non-canon)

-soundblaster sort of just dumps her there...

-victory wants tarmac to be strong like tarn, like megatron, like themself, but they are a murderer who leads a bunch of other murderers and tarmac is an innocent, sheltered little kid..

-she can't exactly leave, either, can she...?

-end of currently planned events

-as of yet undetermined chronologically OC interactions: meeting @tilly-tittle's OC Scapegoat, meeting @thegrinningghost's OCs

"Orivar's SUCH a hardass!"

The corners of her lips twitched and turned downward at the poorly hushed complaining of her little shitten. Baiyan's trying her best to be subtle, but she's never been good at controlling her voice - especially when she's railing against whatever rules she's been placed under.

"I know like, it's the rules of the ball to make us leave after 10, but like! We could pass as old enough Phemoe! Ugh, she just needs to help vouch for us, it's not like we'd get in any worse trouble than -" Baiyan's words were cut off with a sharp yelp as Orivar's cane rapped hard against the back of her ankles.

"Watch your mouth," Orivar scolded as the child stumbled. "And my name is Lu. Mind yourself."

Big, baleful olive eyes stared and sulked at her little reprimand, but Ori paid no mind to it. Children needed to be taught lessons lest they become a little bit too full of themselves. Wild children had to be tamed.

(There was something to be said about the way Orivar was distinctly reminded of her own caretaker's behavior when she was younger and with his wooden spoon and how much she fussed about that, but she refused to explore that memory further.)

Next to the two of them, Phemoe blinked her even larger, more baleful eyes at the two of them. Chin pointed up, she straightened her shoulder and flicked her long, braided hair over one shoulder of her loose, crimson robes to pat gently at the gold leaves mounted against her horns. "I have foresaw," She drawled ominously. Oh joy, her psychic persona was taking the reigns again. "During our glorious entrance into the castle grounds, deep within the courtyard and as we stood upon the shores of babbling lake -" Fountain, Orivar thought, "- Was an ominous sign of bad luck for trolls. The aural reading I pulled from the golden apple given to our most dearest leader -" Orivar shot her a moody look, "- and the way the leaves fell post apple harvest meant that we do not have long for this world."

She paused. Baiyan stared at her, mouth agape. "Do you mean -"

"By world! That is to say!" Phomoe interrupted dramatically with a flair of fin, "This world of magic and wonder!"

Baiyan sagged in relief at her words while Orivar pinched the bridge of her nose. Still, the seadweller continued.

"I believe we will soon come across ill fated encounters, ties to pernicious scenarios trapped in the shards of frozen time, which henceforth will cause us to begin a quick flight from these grounds. That, my beloved diamond, is the future that I have foresaw as the Oracle of Delphi."

Phomoe fell quiet after her declaration, eyes half lidded and expectant as she held her sheaves of wheat against her chest. Expectant for what? None of the trio knew, not even her. Baiyan looked as perplexed as ever hearing her moirail's 'divination' while Orivar simply looked upon her with exhaustion. As much as she's told the child she never did believe in the so-called future sight of seadwellers (psychic abilities never showed in their cooler bloods after all) the child still insisted.

Still, regardless of what Orivar thought, the two of them continued their shenanigans despite it. Baiyan looked increasingly introspective as she digested her words, and her brow furrowed before Phomoe gasped and grabbed her hand, pointing towards a troll across the way.

"Look! Forsooth!" Forsooth? Orivar squinted in confusion, "A hero in the flesh! Hercules himself, draped in the pelt of the monstrous Nemean lion!" The three of them swiveled to look where Phomoe pointed, instantly spotting the massive troll towering over the rest of the guests. With tight braided hair, too much skin showing, and a glorious cape of the whitest lion skin Orivar has seen, he was hard to miss, though she was unsure how much a lusii skin could really carry an outfit. Animal skins are a dime a dozen and with not much else to help accentuate it? Mediocre, at best -

But did the children share the same thoughts? Orivar grimaced as the answer was absolutely not as the two of them immediately bee-lined towards the troll to leave her in the dust. "Is that a real Lusus pelt?" Baiyan's voice floated over the crowd. The tops of her curls barely hit at his elbow as he turned to stare at the two wrigglers accosting him.

"Did you kill it yourself, O Descendant of Zeus?"

"Wait - the fangs are gold! Did it have gold teeth?!"

"Impervious to blade and spear you may be, but surely not to the chill of Hel herself touching the air - are you not cold?"

"Can I touch it?"

Alright alright alright - time to stop this party before it gets started.

Orivar was quick to step in once Baiyan's hands started reaching for the fur and she used the end of her cane to knock her hand away from the troll. "Can you two behave yourselves without attacking this man all at once?" She said, firm enough to make Baiyan pout and Phomoe blink. "Ask and don't touch. Greet and introduce yourselves. Don't act like animals."

💊 headcanons: Delphi Shenanigans

So, back during the Cov.id pandemic, I was working on the progressive care unit in a hospital. Short staffed, overworked, the usual stuff. But often myself and others would try and boost the mood with silly nonsense. So here's some things I did at the hospital that I feel I could see Pharma doing on Delphi (possibly moreso before Tarn had a total hand in things)

hiding in med closets, then paging Aid to grab him some supplies just to scare the crap out of her when she shows up

walking into the nurses station and singing "If youre tired and you know it, clap your hands" (bonus, aid and ambulon respond with very slow, tired sounding claps)

idk what the Cybertronian equivalent to this is, but I once put one of those lemon flavored water packets into one of the containers we use to measure out foleys and drank it in front of the nurses station lol

telling anyone new (likely aid, shes the newest) wrong directions for the hospital floors. ie, aid asks where the ICU is, and Pharma says the "fifth floor" only for aid to scramble looking for a fifth floor that doesnt exist

My girl from a completed campaign: Yáng Shì. Yáng’s named after the Pirate Queen Zhang Yi Sao and she started the campaign as the first mate of The Oracle and girlfriend of Captain Delphi Czestech and Quartermaster Kāne Kekoa.

After events and shenanigans, she is now girlfriend-less and the Captain of The Oracle.

would your ocs go on a trip to the beach? how they are when they feel sick?

Ooh! This is a fun ask :)

Beach

• Shirako would go to the beach if and only if she’s allowed to swim and go fishing. Her siblings would go to relax and chill.

•Delphi wants nothing more than to feel the sand one more time beneath her toes and be washed by the waves. So if she gets out of the hospital, she’d go there first

•Electra wants to go, but it doesn’t mix well with her electricity related powers and her mechanical parts, so she observes from a distance

•Harper goes for the beach volleyball and beachside music playing shenanigans

Them when sick

•Shirako is a gremlin and even viruses and germs fear her. She does not get sick.

•Delphi is sick and in the hospital. She gets really melancholic and thinks too much about things cuz she has nothing else to do, hates it so she gets sardonic but still remains fairly well mannered

•Electra gets sick rarely, since she’s half artificial. But when she does she just shuts herself down completely til she gets better

•Harper is stubborn, refuses to acknowledge he’s sick. Does everything as usual until he face-plants from a fever and someone has to forcibly put him on bed rest while he whines and try’s to escape
